Step 1. Start Group Creation

Click the +Create Croup button
in the lower right corner.
You can manage your own class or group.
e.g., Palo Alto High School - Science Class
Mine: Groups you have joined
Public: All groups in SMILE

Step 2. Create Activity & Invite Members

Click the +Create Activity button
in the lower right corner.
Try creating categories by chapter, table or topic.

You can invite students or friends by clicking
+ Invite Members button

Step3. Create Questions
Click the +Create button in the lower right corner. Feel free to post your own question including image or Youtube video! You can choose between open-ended or multiple choice formats.
ℹ️ To edit or delete your question, click the 𐄛 button on the question.

Step 4. Evaluate Questions
Evaluate your peers’ questions using Bloom’s Taxonomy and then compare your score with the AI’s rating.
Note: You can only view the AI score after submitting your own evaluation first!

Playground
Students can develop higher-order thinking skills by receiving AI coaching on the questions they create and then revising them independently.
The AI provides feedback through:
Quality Level Assessment
Technical Accuracy Checks
Suggestions to Increase Depth, Clarity, or Creativity
Proposed Higher-Level Variations of the Original Question
How to?
In the Activity → Settings:
Playground → Type questions → Submit → Get feedback

This helps check for conceptual understanding and encourages creative thinking.
Example:
Can we design better prosthetic legs by learning how animal or human legs work?
(Keywords: design, human legs)
How to?

Input the required keywords (you can choose either a single keyword set or a two-keyword set)
Click <Save Settings> to apply changes.
